On a beautiful winter day in late January, I had the pleasure of working with the L family. We chose to take photos both indoors and outdoors to provide more variety, and boy am I pleased with the outcome. Definitely some of the best photos I believe I've ever taken.

The studio is a small space as of right now until we finish our basement and that is where it will be relocated to eventually. Fitting four people together in it proved challenging, but definitely worthwhile! We took photos with two backdrops and had fun doing it, before heading outside and having even more fun taking the outdoor photos. I am so happy with these final images.

A very charming and romantic look to this black and white photograph.

These young women were sure fun to take portraits of. I loved, loved, loved the accessories and the way they styled their outfits.

There is something to be said about controlled lighting, and those eye-catching sharp, detailed photographs that make a photographer go, "Wow, I took that!"

My favourite part of my session with the L family was having them horse around for some silly and fun photos. They certainly did not disappoint! Asking my clients to be silly is the most sure way for me to find their authentic smiles and genuine personalities, and I love every second of it.

It was a pleasure to work with the L family in late January, and I hope to see them again in the future! Winter photography is delightful to me and I can't wait for my next session coming up this weekend. Stay tuned!
